Checking In From Washington DC With A Gift

I thought that I'd report in from Washington D.C. where I'm
attending Yanik Silver's Underground II Seminar.

Actually, I haven't started the seminar stuff yet. They did have
activities for those who attend pre-workshop events on Thursday,
but I didn't register for any of that.

I got into town around 8:30, picked up a rental car, and then spent
an hour trying to find my hotel. The streets in D.C. are strange
because as you get in close around government buildings, many of
them are open so far, then blocked off. So I found the street that
my hotel is on, but ran into a barricade. So I had to circle around
and pick the street back up where it was open to public traffic
again.

When I got to the hotel, the clerk said that he actually showed my
reservations starting TOMORROW night. He fiddled around in the
computer for a while and then told me that he was going to get me
in at about 30% LESS than the best deal I had negotiated on the
phone!

It's a pretty ritzy hotel that I'm in. It's not the one that the
seminar is in. I waited until that one was all sold out before I
even made my reservations. However, I'm paying about 60% of what
they are paying... and it's for the same quality of hotel.

The seminar is in a hotel only 4 blocks away, so I may just walk
over in the morning. The guys from valet parking too my car when
I checked it, and since parking is at such a premium at all of the
hotels, I may just walk over to the other hotel as I said.

On the plane ride over here, I read my latest issue of Dan Kennedy's
NO BS newsletter. In case you don't know it, Yanik is in Dan
Kennedy's Platinum group, and also a regular contributor to his
newsletter. I've been a Dan Kennedy fan for years, but only
recently started getting his print newsletter.
