The Greatest Secret That I've Ever Shared

I know. You've heard over and over again that there are no
real secrets in Internet marketing.

I'll argue that there are so many "obvious truths" that it
can be a challenge knowing which ones are worth focusing on.

Let me clear that up right now.

Of all of the factors that will make your online business a
success, NONE are as essential as website traffic.

Plain and simple, if no one is visiting your website, your
order forms, your subscribe forms, etc., then very little
else CAN happen.

Without traffic, your business may as well be in some remote
desert location, 1000 miles from the nearest highway, and with
all outside communications cut off.

I recognized this fact as early as 1996. Everybody who starts
an online business, and then watched their visitor count sit
at "depressing" very quickly realize this fact.

That "secret" exposed two facts to me...

1) If you could teach others how to generate lots of website
traffic, you’d get very rich.

2) If you could generate a steady stream of traffic to your
websites, then the other pieces would eventually fall into
place.

Back in 2002, when I attended my first seminar, this whole
traffic puzzle was at the top of my mind... and that of
practically every person that I spoke to.

Marty Foley was at that seminar, and we talked about creating
a "traffic generation encyclopedia." Shortly thereafter, I
registered the domain WebsiteTrafficPhD. We didn't move
forward on the project and the domain name eventually expired.
I did renew it later :-)

John Reese was at that seminar. John and I gathered in Ramon
Williamson's room for an impromptu mastermind session. I
mostly listened to John and Ramon, and they radically shifted
my thinking. They both thought so much BIGGER than I did. John
spoke of building a mailing list of a million for example.

An email list of a million is now what I'd like to accomplish
by the end of 2008!

Unlike Marty and I, John Reese did eventually take action!
He created and released a course that was all about website
traffic generation. He called that course "Traffic Secrets."
Traffic Secrets is off the market now... under revision.

The single biggest need of practically EVERY webmaster on the
planet is more traffic.

If YOU could come up with a course on the topic that taught a
lot of proven methods, YOU'D have a product that flew off the

The basic website traffic generation techniques haven't really
changed that much over the past few years. New tools and
techniques emerge everyday, but the very core basics haven't
changed. The other leading-edge things ARE what will give
you the "slight advantage" but if you master the basics, you'll

researching and documenting what has actually been proven to
work... and continues to work today.

In fact, putting together your own traffic generation course
is mostly research and testing, I submit that you could simply
buy someone else's research, and with their permission do minor
edits and roll out your own course.

When I look back at why Marty and I didn't release a website
