Press Clippings

Here's what the press is saying about NeoBook:

Bob Schwabach, Universal Press Syndicate:

"This is an impressive piece of work. Though its business and instructional uses are easy to visualize, I would like to see it given to children and students. You can create almost anything. It is not just a teaching tool but a learning tool par excellence.

"This is a remarkable program and aptly named; it seems likely that new books will be done in this multimedia fashion in the near future."

Medical Software Review:

"Just when you thought it couldn't get any easier to produce multimedia, along comes a program that redefines ease of use." In a direct comparison between NeoBook Pro for Windows and ToolBook II, Director Studio, Icon Author, Quest and others, NeoBook was rated highest in ease of learning, performance and speed.

PCM Magazine:

"NeoBook Pro's button filled graphical interface lets you put together publications having - of all things - a button-filled graphical interface! It's so easy to use, you can knock out a test 'book' in executable (.EXE) format, ready to distribute, in less than an hour - and that includes skimming the docs!"

Colin Haynes, author of Paperless Publishing (McGraw-Hill) and How to Succeed in Cyberspace (The Association for Information Management):

"I recommend NeoBook as one of the best digital publishing programs in my McGraw-Hill book Paperless Publishing and in Writer's Digest's first cover story on self-publishing in the digital media. NeoBook was chosen also for the disk of software that accompanied my book and I have demonstrated it with complete confidence at seminars in the US, Europe and Africa over the past three years. Many of my readers who have published with NeoBook have achieved excellent results.

"Now, in its latest Windows format, NeoBook is even more versatile and reflects a higher degree of dedicated and professional development than many of the expensive shrink-wrapped programs that I get to review. If you have the latest Windows system, or if you are still using a computer running only DOS - as millions of people around the world must do - you can choose an appropriate version of NeoBook that is easy to use, fast and achieves professional results.

"Whether you are an author seeking to self-publish a novel on a limited budget, or a corporation with major catalogue or other business digital publishing projects, you should check out NeoBook. It remains one of the most reliable and functional publishing tools available."

CD-ROM Multimedia:

"NeoBook is a full-featured multimedia authoring system which produces disk-based interactive documents such as newsletters, books, electronic catalogs and educational materials ... It lets you easily create multi-page documents with images, text blocks, wallpaper backgrounds and hot-spot buttons."

PC Graphics & Video:

"A well-designed program that brings inexpensive but very functional electronic publishing to consumers, with professional-level capabilities and options at a utility price."

Computer User:

"An affordable yet versatile multimedia authoring tool. NeoBook Professional is suitable for producing presentations onscreen or on CD-ROM or floppy disk. Because the presentation in its final form is a standalone EXE file, you could even post the presentation on a Web site or use it on a kiosk."

CD Information Center:

"This one's fun to use. In fact, I would have been finished writing this review earlier, save for the fact that I was so busy playing with it. I'd say NeoBook was an excellent introduction for newbies to multimedia - but I just found a CD-ROM magazine in U.K. that uses it for its menu, so it's quite adequate to get a reasonably professional job done."
